Ben is a highly experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a career spanning NHS and private practice. He currently works part-time as a Band 7 Highly Specialist Physiotherapist in the NHS, where he is also involved in clinical research trials, bringing that same high-level expertise to his private patients at The Treatment Table.
Holding an MSc in Physiotherapy, Ben has worked across specialist rheumatology, first contact practice, and complex MSK conditions. He takes a personalised, evidence-based approach to care, combining hands-on treatment, tailored exercise prescription, and clear patient education to get people back to doing what they love.
Ben is also currently completing advanced training in injection therapy, with a view to offering corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections, expanding the range of treatment options available to his patients.

Jamie’s early professional life saw him working in the National Health Service (NHS) in Liverpool Hospitals as a Junior Physiotherapist. In the dynamic environment of the NHS, Jamie developed his skills and gained valuable experience, laying the foundation for The Treatment Table. Working in the NHS provided Jamie with a first-hand understanding of the complexities and challenges of the healthcare system, instilling in him a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. With a desire to explore new horizons, Jamie transitioned to the private sector, joining a prestigious high-end private company specializing in advanced treatment solutions. On opening Treatment Table, Jamie brought with him a wealth of experience from his time in the NHS, along with a fresh perspective on elevating patient care standards. A notable achievement in Jamie’s career is his qualification in Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, showcasing his commitment to exploring innovative and effective treatment modalities. This expertise allows him to provide cutting-edge solutions for various musculoskeletal conditions, aligning with his holistic approach to patient care. Jamie has previously sought additional qualifications in acupuncture, recognizing the value of alternative therapies in complementing traditional medical practices. Jamie’s dedication to staying at the forefront of medical advancements led him to become proficient in diagnostic ultrasound scanning, a skill that enhances his diagnostic capabilities. In his pursuit of excellence, Jamie expanded his skill set and fulfilled a personal achievement when he returned to university in 2022 to pursue a master’s qualification in independent prescribing. Jamie attained this achievement in 2023 and became an independent prescriber, enabling him to contribute significantly to patient care by prescribing medications tailored to individual needs. Jamie’s professional journey is intricately woven with his personal interests, particularly in sports. He understands the importance of physical well-being and the role it plays in overall health. His keen interest in a varied range of sport including, jiu jitsu, boxing, strength and conditioning, and running, reflects not only his commitment to personal fitness but also his belief in the therapeutic benefits of an active lifestyle. Today, as the Managing Director of Treatment Table, Jamie continues to lead with a vision that blends his rich experience, diverse skill set, and passion for patient well-being. Mr Michael McCarthy

Michael McCarthy is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Sport Scientist with extensive experience delivering specialist exercise rehabilitation across NHS and community healthcare settings. His clinical background includes cardiac, pulmonary and Long COVID rehabilitation, alongside supporting individuals living with complex long-term health conditions.
Throughout his career, Michael has worked across healthcare settings in both Ireland and the UK, developing extensive experience in evidence-based exercise rehabilitation. He began his career with Siel Bleu Ireland, delivering specialist exercise programmes for people living with neurological and long-term health conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, dementia, stroke, COPD and intellectual disabilities, before progressing into NHS roles specialising in pulmonary rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation and Long COVID rehabilitation. Throughout this journey, he has led the development and delivery of rehabilitation programmes, helping people safely regain strength, confidence and independence following illness or injury.
As a Band 6 Senior Exercise Physiologist within the NHS, Michael led the Long COVID Exercise Rehabilitation Service, supporting pathway development, mentoring students, developing digital rehabilitation resources and working alongside consultants, nurses, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
At The Treatment Table, Michael provides specialist Clinical Exercise Physiology services for individuals living with cardiovascular, respiratory, cancer, post-viral fatigue, ME/CFS and other long-term health conditions. Every rehabilitation programme is individually tailored using evidence-based practice to improve physical function, confidence and long-term health, helping patients return safely to the activities they enjoy.
Alongside his clinical career, Michael has a passion for endurance running, giving him first-hand insight into training, performance, injury prevention and recovery. He is the 2025 North of England Indoor 3,000 m Champion and was a member of the 2025 National 5 km Team Gold Medal-winning club team in Ireland, with personal bests of 14:30 for 5 km and 29:53 for 10 km. This combination of competitive sporting experience and clinical expertise enables him to support individuals at every stage of their rehabilitation journey.

Dylan is a Sports Massage Therapist with a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy, specialising in working with runners. An experienced athlete himself, Dylan has an impressive running background, boasting personal bests of 14:45 for 5k, 30:55 for 10k, and 2:27 for the marathon.
As a qualified England Athletics Athletics Coach and Level 3 Personal Trainer, Dylan offers a unique perspective on the specific needs of runners, combining expert knowledge of biomechanics, training principles, and recovery strategies. His hands-on experience in endurance sports allows him to understand the physical and mental demands runners face, making him the ideal therapist for both injury prevention, recovery and performance optimisation.
